Families and friends are invited to celebrate spring and motherhood, on May 12 at Hopkins Demonstration Forest, near Beavercreek, Oregon.
From 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Walk in the Woods participants can enjoy the blooms and birds of spring by walking on any of 3-miles of well-marked trails that crisscross this privately-owned woodland. Guests can walk at their own pace on trails that range in difficulty from easy, to more challenging grades that traverse steeper slopes. A brochure will be available to help guide guests through different habitats and management demonstrations, where exhibits provide additional details.
Walk in the Woods is a free event, though donations will be accepted to support educational programs at the demonstration forest.
We can use your help hosting the 2007 Walk in the Woods event. If you are friendly and outgoing with a few hours to spare on May 12, please consider volunteering.
