#10 Hike our Trails: Come out to hike on your own--a trail guide and map will help you navigate 3-miles of walking routes, and several exhibits provide additional information about our woodland. We are open daylight hours 7-days/week during summer. Call ahead for current information: 503-632-2150.

#9 Enjoy a Guided Tour: FREE, 90-minute tours introduce you to forest ecology, our management demonstrations and ongoing research projects. Extend your visit with a picnic and leisurely walk. Call 503-632-2150 for our tour schedule, or to arrange a special tour for your family & friends.

#8 Hunt Treasures: Hidden in our woodland are three letterboxes-small caches with color marking pens, a unique rubber stamp in each, and stamp book for you to record your find. #7 Learn by Doing: Join us for a 2nd Saturday Community Workday to experience a variety of tree farm chores throughout the year. We provide tools, gloves, expert supervision and lunch for our volunteers-please call ahead, 503-632-2150.

#6 Walk in the Woods: These social occasions bring folks together in our forest in a festive atmosphere. Refer to our Community Calendar for dates and additional information about special events and other activities in our family forest.

#5 Celebrate Family: Our Cedar Grove Picnic Shelter seats about 50 people, and is close to drinking water, restrooms and an amphitheater with fire ring. Nearby trails, ponds and Little Buckner Creek will interest young and old alike.

#4 Watch Wildlife: A variety of critters use our woodland, which provides excellent and varied habitat. Birders and trackers can find several common resident and migrant species in our forest. Ask to borrow our Wildlife Study Vest.

#3 Study Stream & Pond Ecology: Learn more about water quality and how we manage our riparian forest and ponds. Borrow our Aquatic Study Vest, and equipment to help you explore our stream and ponds.

#2 Adopt-a-Grove: Invest some of your energies in planting and pruning trees, then revisit the same grove over time to measure and track forest growth.
