Hopkins Demonstration Forest is a 140-acre woodland open to the public for self-guided exploration during daylight hours, seven days a week. Also throughout the year are many scheduled activities and events at Hopkins Demonstration Forest find them listed in our calendar.
Educational programs, tours and volunteer opportunities are provided at Hopkins Demonstration Forest through a partnership with Oregon State Extension Service
. Most volunteer opportunities, tours and workshops can also be arranged at other times by request. In addition to OSU Extension programming, several community events and workshops held at Hopkins Demonstration Forest are provided by other groups.
Each month there are new opportunities and activities at Hopkins Demonstration Forest.
Community Forestry Days include a variety of volunteer projects and learning opportunities - held on the 2nd Saturday each month.
Sustainable Forestry Tours provide an insider's view of the forest, featuring the latest forestry activities - scheduled monthly on the 2nd Saturday, 2pm, other times by arrangement.
Workshops allow a chance to learn new skills and knowledge related to forest management and resources - refer to each month in the calendar for list of upcoming learning opportunities.
Community Events bring together neighbors, friends and community to celebrate and share good times - refer to each month in the calendar for special community activities.
